Marian Wielinga is a highly accomplished artist who has been dedicated to the arts her entire life. Born and raised in Augusta, GA, she discovered her passion for art at a young age, which led her to pursue formal art training at the University of Georgia. Through her years of hard work and dedication, she has produced numerous outstanding pieces of art.

After experiencing a series of life changes, Marian found herself back in Augusta, where she took on the role of a Middle School Art Teacher for over 20 years. Her love for the craft, combined with her vast teaching experience, gave her the confidence, skill, and patience to create even more exceptional works of art.

With the encouragement of her husband, fellow artist Roel, Marian joined the Arts Council at the Mac on Main Art Gallery in Thomson, GA. Among a group of talented artists, she found inspiration and motivation to create even more unique and exciting works.

Marian's passion for painting and her love for the three-dimensional is evident in her crochet-constructed pieces, which are truly remarkable. Her art plays with light and shade, color and form, texture, and composition, leaving a lasting impression on the viewer.

Marian's work depicts scenes and situations that tell a mental story, showcasing her dedication, passion, and skill. Her art is a reflection of her expertise and artistic mastery. Marian Wielinga is not just an artist; she is a confident and accomplished master of her craft.
